Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Estimator.

The Senior Estimator has the job of creating accurate cost estimates that guide project planning and execution. The Senior Estimator collaborates across departments to ensure estimates meet project needs, budgets, and deadlines. By attending meetings, assessing technical challenges, and identifying risks, they play a crucial role in developing competitive bids for a variety of commercial projects. We're looking for a seasoned Senior Estimator to join our team!

 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: 

  • 7+ years in a similar role with a tier 1 / tier 2 commercial contractor
  • Experience in large commercial construction methodology and pricing elements
  • Proven ability to price direct labour costs effectively
  • Develop positive relationships with key project stakeholders
  • Demonstrate and apply exceptional construction cost knowledge
  • Present compelling and well-priced proposals that meet clients needs
  • Analyse tenders and identify and suggest appropriate steps to mitigate risks
  • Draft project procurement plans.

  • Be methodical, meticulous, and analytical in your work
  • A sound and rational decision-maker
  • Demonstrated ability to manage your own workloads effectively
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Impeccable understanding of construction methodology
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
